How do I qualify for an award?

The G.O.A.T. Martial Arts Awards is an exclusive honor reserved for martial artists who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and contributions to the martial arts community. This is not an open competition—it is a selective induction process designed to recognize only the most accomplished and influential martial artists.

To qualify for induction, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a minimum rank of 5th Degree Black Belt
  • Have at least 25 years of martial arts experience
  • Be at least 40 years old
  • Have significant contributions to the martial arts world through teaching, competition, leadership, or mentorship

Additionally, inductees must meet one of the following exclusive requirements:

  • Be published in Ted Gambordella’s book series, The World’s Greatest Martial Artists
  • Be nominated by someone already featured in one of these books

This process ensures that only the most respected and accomplished martial artists are inducted, preserving the prestige and integrity of the G.O.A.T. Martial Arts Honorees receive.
